Getting Started
What is a Facebook Page? Is it different from a Facebook Profile?
Yes, a Facebook Page is not the same as a Facebook Profile. A Facebook Page is a business account on Facebook that you create for your company, organization, business...etc, which serves as a fan page. A Facebook Profile is a personal account on Facebook. When you join Facebook, you get a Profile. This is a place where you can connect with friends, see their posts in your news feed, post your thoughts, pictures...etc. We currently only support Facebook Pages to create your website.
Where do I find my Facebook Page URL?
When you are looking at your Facebook Page from within the browser, the Facebook Page URL is the web address located at the top of the browser. It should look something like: www.facebook.com/(MyBusiness).
I pasted the URL of my Facebook Page but nothing happens. Why?
Make sure you are correctly copying the Facebook Page URL. See the question before this for help. Check that the URL you are entering is for a Facebook Page and not for your Personal Profile. We currently do not support making a website from your personal profile. Also, make sure there are no location and/or age restrictions in your Page settings.
I don't have a Facebook Page for my business. How do I create one?
Easy! Just click the link below. Once you are there, select the type of page you want to make and follow the steps provided by Facebook.
Create PageYou will be redirected to Facebook.
Is my website optimized for mobile devices?
Absolutely! All of our design options are fully responsive and look great across all devices.
How many websites can I create under my account?
You can create as many sites as you'd like under one account. Please note, however, that each Full Account upgrade is only valid for one site.
How do I change the content, such as description or contact address, on my site?
Some content such as your “About” page information, contact information, photo albums and newsfeed items can be updated directly from your Facebook Page. Other information can be added or changed in the Pagevamp editor. For more information on updating your site, check out our guides here.
I updated my Facebook Page (photo, post, about...etc.), but I don't see the update on my site. Am I doing something wrong?
Absolutely not! There is sometimes a delay between when you make a change on your Facebook Page and when Facebook notifies us of that change. This process usually only takes a few minutes, but it might take up to an hour or two in extreme cases. We appreciate your patience.
Can I change the color and font of my website?
Yes! In the 'Design' tab of the editor, you can choose colors and fonts from the available options.
Does Pagevamp support different languages?
Pagevamp's designs can be translated into over a dozen languages, including English, Spanish, Italian, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese, Danish, Greek, French, Vietnamese, and Russian. We are working on introducing more languages in the near future, so if you'd like to see yours, send us an email at support@pagevamp.com
Can I upload my own logo and favicon?
Absolutely! In the "Design" tab, under "Logo," click "change" to change your logo and/or favicon. For best results, choose a .png image with a transparent background. For more information on this, check out our guide here.
Can I add extra pages with more information to my website?
With a Full Account, you are able to add custom pages to your site. These pages can contain pretty much any content that you'd like. (SoundCloud, an e-commerce store, a donation button, anything!)
What is a Domain Name? Can I get my own through Pagevamp?
A Domain Name, such as www.MyBusinessName.com, is the web address to your site, which is essential for branding and being found on search engines. With a Full Account upgrade, you can register a domain name of your choice through Pagevamp.
